Where the job started
The deck surface was worn out, and once the old boards came off, parts of the frame needed repair too.

How we solved it
The hard parts of this job
01Boards cut around the steel posts
Black steel posts come up through the deck. The new boards were notched around each post, and the edge is finished with a mitred border board.
02Tape on the open frame
Part of the frame stood open while new boards were already down on the rest. The tops of the joists were taped before those boards went on.
