Where the job started
The narrow fenced backyard was all lawn, thick with weeds, with no patio and no path.
What Korvex did
- Remove sod and level the yard
- Lay filter fabric across the area
- Spread and level decorative gravel
- Set large concrete slabs as a patio and stepping path
How we solved it
The hard parts of this job
Fabric under the gravel keeps stone and soil apart and slows weeds. Gravel lets rain soak in across the whole yard.
01Fabric from fence to fence
The sod came off the whole yard, and landscape fabric went down from fence to fence before the gravel.
02Even gaps in a large grid
The patio is a grid of large slabs with gravel joints. Wood spacers held the gaps while each slab was set with a level, and the stepping path runs off the same grid.
